From the same amazing Back waters, Kumarakom Lake excursion, a picture of a poor mother with her child, sleeping peacefully on her shoulder. She was there looking at us , as we were passing by, with this sad, desperate almost look. It is one of those times that you feel so useless that you cannot actually help those people from not suffering...
I made it B&W to add the drama flare which really stroke me...

Very impressive portrait, Savas.
So much emotions on her face... And very good B&W.

Très belle photo que tu nous proposes là. Le regard de la femme est très expressif et évoque la souffrance. Le sommeil de l'enfant semble conforter tout cela. C'est vraiment très beau.

The misery of her life written all over her face and in her sad sad eyes. The baby however (thankfully perhaps!) seems oblivious to all these and is sleeping peacefully in the safest place a child can find. B&W suits the mood perfectly.
