Photographer's Note

The Kathakali performance previously used to run into the early hours of the morning, usually in a temple complex , often in an open auditorium. The present day ones are "capsule"versions lasting for a few hours.
Here you see one of the performers putting on his facial makeup before the show.

A colourful image which captures an intimate moment very well. Good light management too. ~I might have cropped his shadow out to place him slightly right of centre but hey we are all different.

The low light with a focus on the face and the warm colors are in accordance with the intimiste scene. Very nice atmosphere.

Dear Manoj,

I love this 'orange glow' that exudes from the suject, ut feel that a sharper contrast and higher saturation will create a richer effect - I have attached a WS to that effect; hope you will like it...
