Fort Cochin Chinese Fish Nets Photo

Photographer’s Note

Fort Cochin is a very pleasant stop on your way to the backwaters in Kerala. It makes for a great and relaxing afternoon and evening.

The shore is famous for its ancient Chinese Fish Nets, which takes 7 to 8 men to operate. Those were introduced by the Portuguese as they colonized the Southern part of India.

Although those have been replaced by more modern and efficient fishing techniques all over in India, Cochin is still operating those to the delight of photographers passing by.

Fantastic view. I have impression that the photo isn't perfectly sharp. But in this case i don't care much about sharpness, i prefer to focus on the scene.

Unique but very beautiful color. The mono color really had a good expression over this shot. Very good improvisation of light and color. Fantastic POV.

All ingredients are present for a wonderful picture.
Sea and waves, pink colours to the sky.
A nice series nets in a wonderful perspective.
Composition and colours are very real, good presentation.

Très intéressant composition avec une bonne balance de couleurs, pas évidente au coucher de soleil. L'homme en silhouette donne une idée de la taille de ces grands filets. Bravo!

!st of january I`ll arive there for the second time and I hope I can manage some good shots like this one.
Excellent composition with this row of nets and the man in his working position.I like too these orange/brown tones.
