Photographer’s Note
The fishing nets of Cochin near the St.Francis church where Vasco-da-gama was initially buried. This was my second or third time there..I would still love to go there again. That's where Cochin, the historical town is at her best.
The Jews, the Dutch, the Portuguese have all left their mark on this port-town and you really get a feel of history.
I don't know why these are called the Chinese nets, but they make an interesting spectacle when the fishermen ryhthmically pull these giant nets up from water. The crows and some other birds quickly alight into these nets to eat the small fish.
The sunset view at the place is quite lovely too.

Hello Nithin
The silhouettes of the fishing nets are really impressive against the sunset. However it is difficult to ignore the clockwise tilt. TFS, Marlene

Another great TE mystery... why has this photo not 30 or 40 points? I will never understand...
Amazing, fantastic, superb! A feeling from another world. Incredible soft coloration and composition. Just love it... adore it... TFS
Take care

Hello Nithin,
The presentation of this net is splendid. I appreciate the camera angle which gives dynamism to an almost static landscape. This mode of fishing points out this to me. The gilded colors make the image invaluable. Cheer.
Have a nice day

Hi Nithin!
Nice shot with beautiful colours! I really like the way you captured those nets, they create a very nice effect. I see Sunandan has corrected the horizon. Very nice shot!
