Photographer’s Note
This is the same Fort Cochin fisherman as in a previous post. I like the action and the ship that appears in the corner of this shot.
I'll copy from the note I posted before: As the sun set over Fort Cochin, I watched this fisherman cast his net into the sea. Each time he'd carefully gather it up, then wade out a few feet, wait for a moment (I don't know what he was waiting for - the right kind of wave??), then toss it out. Then he'd drag it a short distance, before pulling it in again, then gather it carefully together ready for the next throw. It seems a time-consuming way to fish - in the 30 minutes or so that I was watching, he cast his net maybe five or six times.
It occurs to me that this picture might work well in b/w, although I like the warm yellowish tones in the net, reflecting the sun's glow.

Hello Charlotte,
The fine use of backlight makes this an eye-catcher!
Action is well frozen and the sunrays play so nicely with the net...
Attractive diagonal in the composition, which is well balanced and with sharp fine details. Minor issue: I'd like the whole net in the frame!
Greetings,

I think you timed this very well Charlotte, and the light is excellent.
I like the way he is almost silhouetted, while certain details are revealed - good use of backlighting.
It would have been even better if you could have left some space to the right of the fishing net on that side of the frame, but nonetheless an excellent shot.
Cheers,
Ben

Bonjour Charlotte.
Une silhouette d'aucteur, réellement.
Le contre-jour est enrichi par la lumière dorée du soleil couchant.
Bien vue.
Amicalement.
Bobo.
