Another photo from Kerala trip, this time it is from garden of Brunton Boatyard hotel.
Moored on a historic stretch of Kochi's famed harbour, the Brunton Boatyard Hotel has been resurrected from the remains of a Victorian shipbuilding yard.
The recreated period building blends in perfectly with its colonial era surroundings: once-great trading houses from the high era of commerce, when the pepper of Kerala was as precious as gold.
Like the cultures they celebrate, the hotel's interiors too, are an eclectic blend of English, Portuguese and Dutch influences. Soaring ceilings, hanging fans, and everywhere, artefacts and curios from the great age of steam and sail.
Geo Brunton and Sons was once among the most respected ship builders in Kochi. The location of their old boatyard was perfect, on a quiet harbor-front deep in the heart of Fort Kochi (or Fort Cochin), where every by-lane could whisper tales from the city's colorful past.

Multi green tones, Miro, over a white edifice that has green already on its roof-tiles.
A bit of backlight effect, not easy to deal with appear hewre - but not a grave issue.
Some new knowledge to my less-education about India.
Have a nice weekend,

Interesting study of nature. The vibrant green tonality looks here really fantastic and made the scene really well. Good shot! TFS.

Again a very nice picture of your trip to India.
Difficult to see that this house is in India, almost a western house, but the tree is the real eye catcher on these picture.
Quality and sharpness are perfect.
Composition and presentation be superb.
Very well done, TFS.

What a strange tree that is! It looks as if it is covered in green fuzz, and reminds me what a tree would be like if it came to life and starred in the muppets! The colors in this are really beautiful, especially the green against the white. Thanks for the interesting note too.

You're capturing well this place by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the tasteful/historical hotel with white outer wall and gentle/good design, the courtyard with rich greenery. And, twl big trees draws out a good impact in this image. It's aslso impressive that green is blown life into environment.

I feel encouraged to walk in and see what's beyond... I love the layout, the height, the depth and composition with the precious old trees and the overhanging canopy nicely framed rendering a great perspective by reaching high up as main interest as this looks so calm never get bored of them!! This really shows how tall these trees are at the same enhancing the frontal view of the white building making it stands out even more. The subtle greens lift the image, I just love those wonderfully shaped trees that you have captured beautifully when nature lavishes its best on you. Well done shot, Congrats

J'aime ce vert lumineux sur les arbres et la pelouse qui fait ressortir la blancheur du bâtiment, merci pour les belles images sur Kerala

Informative note about the Hotel, but the most striking is the very big trees that almost cover the hotel facade
Typical green color of the vegetation in this tropical province of Indie
Great place to stay

an interesting view to the garden and terrace of this special hotel. I think that the moody lighting led you to opt for a strong enhancement of saturation and contrast. While some parts look natural and fine, the brighter areas have gained a glow that distracts from the fascinating graphism of the branches. I like very much the way you framed the picture offering the most of the space to the dynamism and drama of the branches. By cropping the edges out of the frame, you make the size of the trees even more suggestive. Well done and thank you!
All the best, have a great week,

Ciao e buona serata
