This is a forest department camp shed is in the rain forests near ‘Athirappally’ waterfalls, Kerala, India. The roof is made by a type of bamboo leaves commonly available there. After paving it has to be treated with smoke continuously for two months for seasoning. They say that this roofing material will last for many years without degradation if it is seasoned in the proper way.

Perhaps going Green could not have been explained better.
Welcome to TE and good luck
