Part of the tradition in india for women, or for some you may say fashion, includes keeping flowers in their hair.
Interestingly, many of those women will keep flowers not only as a decorative piece in their hair but as a blessing for they use flowers which are first offered at the alter before God (or to the God), which ever form of God that may be - as India is known for it's polytheism.
Here in the photo you can see school teachers greeting their pupils in the morning before the school class begins.
