Photographer's Note
This shot was pre-visualised, and played in my mind like a hundred times as to how I would do it.
In the reservoir of Gorur Hemavathi near Hassan is a ruined Church built by the French missionaries, and this Church submerges in the dam waters when the water levels rise in monsoons. I was expecting a bit of water around, so that I could get some reflections too, but December it was and the monsoon being low this year, it wasn't the case.
So we got a chance to camp next to the ruins and I got my opportunity to frame the magnificence in front of me, with the star trails :)
The structure illuminated by the light from the camp fire, torch light and twilight.
EXIF data:
Aperture: f/3.5
ISO: 400
Exposure: 10 stacked images of about 180 sec each, a total of 33 mins.

Beautiful and magical shot, Prashant. The ruins themselves are beautiful, and the warm red light otherworldly. The star trails follow its lead moving up and to the left. Combined with an evocative title, you have a great shot here.

another great shot from you Prashant. I also have a wish to capture such star movement but my camera doesn't permit me to do so. A great shot indeed. I have a question on it... What was the exposer time for it? I think you wouldn't mind telling me... Anyway thanks for sharing this beautiful image.
Have a nice day.

Ciao prashant
Ciao e buona serata

Hi Prashant,
beautiful work. The long exposure made a fantastic effect here. The ruins seem to be subtly lit with a pink light. Excellent work, good idea for the title too,

Hi Prashant,
nice work with the lonk exposure. I really like this kind of photo but never got one. Here in my city there are to much wind and the tripod don't stay stable to take photos in so long exposure.
Great light and colors.

Hello Prashant
Brilliant! I have no idea how you did it & what you mean by stacked images, but the effect, even though I have seen many pictures like this with the circular star trails is amazing! Not because I am seeing such a picture for the first time with an Indian architectural structure as the centre piece
