Marigold: A flower that is both common and irreplacable part of our festivals in South India. Huge areas of Land is cultivated during the pre-monsoon to time their harvest for the festival season, in this case I am assuming its meant for the Indian Independence day, Ganesha Chaturthi(A popular festival in India dedicated to Lord Ganesh) and Onam the Harvest festival of Kerala, all of which require a lot of these flowers.
Location: Shot at Gundlupet, the last major town before you cross over into either Tamilnad or Kerala.

I think you did not succeed in focusing the right flower (blurred in front). Otherwise, a spectacular shot, nice contrast and vibrancy.

I actually like the narrow depth of focus. The few sharp flowers are set amidst a sea of colour. Poetic image.
Kind Regards, Ann
