White Pumpkins are very popular in Southern India for many reasons. The pumpkin itself is used for cooking and the dishes are very tasty. The other main use of pumpkin is during the construction of the new house. it is painted with a demon face and hung on the front door. White pumpkins are easily available and are big. They can stay for a long time and easily broken into pieces.

A good capture this saleslady with her piles of fruit and vegetables. The man in the background who seems very interested in the camera makes an interesting juxtaposition. Nicely presented with good colours and sharpness.

An another excellent and well coloured portrait, well balanced too with the lady well off-centred on the left. The coconuts give a very interesting graphic effect.
Have a nice week,

J'aime bien le regard de cette dame. Il est très doux et son demi sourire est mystérieux.Les produits sont beaux et bien mis en valeur.

This is a fine portrait with a lot of interesting details. The background is rather messy, but after all this is an ordinary Indian street and not a studio. The man at the back looks highly interested in your camera.

The idea is good and also the composition. I wonder if you could have shot at her without her noticing it, so that the image would have been more spontaneous. But I guess that in India a man with a camera in his hands is immediately spotted! (:-)
Fine clarity and soft light. Interesting and pleasant,

Dobar snimak i prikaz lepim bojama.
Sve najbolje u novoj nedelji koja je pocela.
In our many pumpkin plants used for food and feed the cattle ...
Nice place in the market with a lady in traditional costume who sells pumpkins and observer who looks at the cameraman, beautiful images.
Good recording and display of beautiful colors.
All the best in the new week, which has begun.

Very nice shot of the market place showing all the different produces. Great not to tell a little bit of the cultural custom of the area. In Chinese they call it winter melon, we can make soup with it.

Hello Dear Lakshmi!
I have seen the coconuts in the photo, but have never seen the pumpkin as we see in the photograph. They must be a type of pumpkins that I have never had before. This is a very nice photo depicting a part of a market, but also a very inviting portrait of this lady. She occupies very effectively an off centred position in the square format. And what she is selling is very nicely on display. The photo captures the very essence of the atmosphere of the market where she works. The pine tree behind her is absolutely enormous, and the surrounding ambience of the market is captured with liveliness. We don’t get to see a market like this in the part of the world where I am anymore. I like the photo showing us a moment of her daily life. The communication between the subject and photographer must have been perfect. I love the nature of the photo very much.
With my very best regards,
Have a very nice Sunday evening, Lakshmi
