Photographer's Note

I have seen none other like them!

This perforated window, in the form of wheels, sits in the wall of the temple's mandapa. Inside there is a Nandi facing the small sanctuary. Look closely at them and you will note that the spokes take the form of small fish (fish and lotus motif). The colour of the sandstone helps create a warm glow to the setting, such that it is bound to please the most discriminating god of small things.
