Summer temperatures in India are on the rise and the clear liquid from the young green coconuts is a much better option than a cold drink.

There are some health benefits to consuming coconut water. It’s an all-natural way to hydrate, reduce sodium, and add potassium to diets. Naturally refreshing, coconut water has a sweet, nutty taste. It contains easily digested carbohydrate in the form of sugar and electrolytes. It has less sugar, fewer calories, less sodium, and more potassium than a sports drink and much less sugar than sodas or fruit juices: this of course applies to the plain coconut water and not the canned / bottled stuff that usually has added sugar or juices.

I think the lovely green exterior soothes the eyes too…
