Photographer’s Note
The Araku Valley is around 115 kms from Visakhapatnam and comprises of the River Gosthani's Valley ringed by peaks rising upto 1680 metres. You can get to Araku by train on arguably the highest Broad Gauge railway line in India. The Kirandul Express passes through many tunnels and across the wonderfully green Valley.
As we started in the morning, sitting on the platform of the first station we came to was this group of women, guarding the baby from all perils, as it were.
