Photographer’s Note
These two men were friends I made while staying in Ongole. The man on the left had the greatest smile. It just lit up his whole face. The man on the right, you may notice, has lost half of his right leg. He had a crudely made wooden one that allowed him to walk.
India ia a country filled with poor people. But one thing I observed, that I really appreciated, was that despite the poverty the people were very content. A quality many seem to have lost here in North America.
