Photographer’s Note
The temple core in Lepakshi is surrounded by a large open court entered from the east with large Gopuras (towers) to the north and west. One of the Gopuras can be seen on the left.
The 'Kalyana Mandapa' or Marriage Hall, with 38 carved monolithic pillars in grey sandstone is unfinished. Some of these pillars are seen here between the Gopura & the smaller gopura of the Swing Pavilion (refer my first posting on Lepakshi) to the right of the frame.
A small flight of stairs leads up from the open court to the Marriage Hall, which is also visible here. Shallow sculptures can be seen on the wall to the left. The temple being built on a tortoise-back shaped hill slopes down from the centre…hence you see the slope towards the left. And walking on the stones scorched by the 40 degree sun, was more like an exercise of ‘jump-walking’.

Hi Angshuman, nice results in your shot, esp. sharpness, considering the light conditions. Regards, Daniel

Hi Angshu,
As usual, a very interesting and also funny note. I can imagine you all jumping in this hot stone ground...
I like the way it seems that anything is straight in here. The tiltness really seems natural. Good view and composition of the outside, with a nice interplay bettween the FG and BG. Lovely details to observe in the usual very clear image. I can imagine a photo taken from above - it should be a nice one...if even sometimes we could fly. The scenery changed but the interest remains. Good work!
Thnaks for sharing,
Ricardo

It's difficult at first to discern the scale here as I thought before reading your note that the hall was a balustaded wall. Once you realise that it is a room-sized height it all falls into place. The detail on the Gopuras is wonderful.

Hi Angshuman
Nice details to this historical gem. The heat of the day seems evident by the length of the shadows. Good detail, nevertheless and nice colouring.

Hi Angshu,
Nice POV.The details in the pillars and walls are very nice and seem to be attractig everytime I look at them.
The Rocky uneven surface seems to be of interest.

Hello Angshu,
nice shot here from a very good POV. The colors are nice and the bright and not favorable light was very well managed. Thanks and best regards.

Hi Angshu,
As many have commented, your excellent note helps focus our attention and realize the 'floor' shown here is a huge rock slab and smart to warn that the building is tilted so someone won't try to straighten it. I think what impresses me most is your excellent light management; you've captured good detail without overexposure in conditions that scream glare! Well done!!

Hi Angshu,
Yet one more of your beautiful shots from Lepakshi, and as usual, with a great note.
I know that I run the risk of being reiterative, but the sharpness and level of detail are amazing.
Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Angshumanda,
I picked this from your randoms, it is a very cool shot! Something about it draws me to it. Very clever Angshumanda, you show some but hid much more in this POV, it is very intriguing at least to me. I want to know what's beyond the stairs, this shot gives only a hint. And then why was this left unfinished?
I will definitely look into the other shots from Lepakshi after this critique.
Thanks for this wonderful treat :)
