Photographer’s Note
The musician wielding a Nadaswaram awaits to be called to play for the Puja (offering).
From Wikipedia –
“Nadaswaram is one of the most popular classical instruments of south India and the world's loudest non-brass acoustic instrument. It is a wind instrument similar to the Shehnai but larger with a large flaring bell, sometimes metal. It may be swung through the air while playing, creating a doppler effect.
In India the nadaswaram is considered to be very auspicious, and it is the key instrument which is played in almost all Hindu marriages and temples. The instrument is usually played in pairs, and accompanied by a pair of drums called thavil.”
This musician was a part of a group of 4. They requested me if I could take their Group Photograph. I concurred on the condition that they would play for me a small piece. They accepted & played a beautiful piece of folk music for me & I took their group photo..which can be found in the WS

Of course you chose the best shot for your main post, but I also really like the group portrait. Your musician fits well in the temple with his blue linen garb and his prayerful pose. Your note is also of gresat interest to me.

Namaste Angshuman
Excellent sharpness, color, & lighting. I find the seated man a little distracting in this one. It may have been better to either leave some space between him & the fg man, or omit him altogether. But that's just a minor quibble. Good work overall & tfs.

Hi Anghsu,
It seems that you really know how to made a good PP, as this one seems great. The lighting on his clothes is marvellous and you still got the usual sharp that show us the details of the pillars in a clear image. I love the general texture of the image. Good portrait and also very interesting one in WS to share with us. It seems that you had a really good time in this place.
Thanks a lot,
Friendly regards

Both are excellent shots, Angshu. I like the compositions combining the stone of the temple and the human element, in this case music. The music can be "heard", it must have been a wondrous experience. Regards, Daniel

Very good view of the musician and his instrument. The stone pillars really make a nice stage for the ceremony taking place and you have a better light for this one.
All the best,
Emmanuel

Hi Angshu - inetrersting combination, thre is something surreal about the quality of the photo, as if the person has been superimposed on a separate image of the temple, I know it's not the case though.

I like the way you composed the photo showing the musician enjoying his surroundings as you did (and us vicariously). I also like the WS where the expression of the child is priceless.

Bonjour Angshuman
This admiring musician stands like a pilliar in front of other pillars !!
Beautiful perspective given by the historic colonnade.
Cheers.
