Photographer’s Note
Took this shot from the top of the Charminar. This is directly opposite to the mecca masjid at Charminar.
Charminar is a 500 year old structure. Symbol for Hyderabad city.
Walking around the Charminar area, one is constantly surprised by vestiges of the past intermingling with the present. Towards the Southeast of the Charminar is located imposing edifice of the Nizamia Unani Hospital. About 50m to the West, the line of shops in Lad Bazaar is interrupted by an old, crumbling brown wall, which marks the entrance to the old Nizama's Jilau Khana (parade ground). The grounds are now being used for the development of a large commercial complex. Further down, a road to the left leads to the Khilawat Complex (Chowmahalla Palace). The Lad Bazaar road terminates in a square called Mahaboob Chowk where a large 19th century clock-tower looms over a delicate white mosque of the same period.

Hi Sreya,
it's amazing how many shops and people are around this building. The place seems filled with so much life and colors that I couldn't resist to make some retouching to this photo.
Hope you don't mind and a nice day,
Edi

Hello Sreya,
I like the view but your picture looks a bit unreal, the blueish tones doesn't mach the sunset time in my opinion. At that time one would expect some warmer colors, don't you think ? I hope you don't mind a workshop trying to adjust the white balance in such way.

Guy

Hi Shreya, I like the PoV and compo of the shot but blue colour is not natural here and restricting the beauty of the shot. Regards Niraj Sinha

Hello Sreya,
Your shot with so good point of view looks like a window showing the modern life and general view of this famous Indian city. Perfectly good composition and quality!

Hello Sreya,
This is a tough shot to comment on. If I am not wrong, you have used a tungsten submode in the manual mode of your camera in this case..and that has renedered the bluish tint in it. An alternative to correct this in PS would be to give the shot a sepia touch after auto levels, or just to make it a monochrome.
I howvever, find the POV to be good with a part of the street and the main structure coexisting in harmony.
As a photographer, its always good to experiment with your camera. Its these experiments that make us better. So, keep on trying out new things. TE is a good platform where you learn a lot about technical aspects of photography.
Regards,
Sagarneel.

Dear Sreya
Your picture attracted my attention because of the somewhat unnatural blueish hue. For that reason I have posted a WS to show you how your otherwise very nice picture could look. I hope you will like it. All the colors of the sunset were actually in your shot. Consequently you picture has everything what is needed for perfect shot, great sharpness, DOF and contrast. Well done
Best regards
Urs
