Pictured here is a Clock Tower in the town of Bheemunipatnam, situated 25 km north of Vizag. Built by either the Dutch or the British around 1850, the tower still looks elegant and has an imposing presence. With the long overdue restoration work finally under way for several of the town's heritage structures, this piece of colonial architecture is also expected to get a face lift in the near future.

An interesting article on the tower with a clock and a description ...
Good clip, and contrast nicely demonstrated architecture and details on the facade.
Beautiful clock tower.
Good evening and peaceful night, all the best in the new week, which has begun, good luck.

I wouldn't say that the B&W treatment makes this look entirely timeless, but it certainly makes it easier for us to imagine this tower a long time ago. Although it needs a facelift I hope it will be done with consideration and care. Exaggerated restorations, maybe using the wrong materials, are a sad sight. Maybe in a couple of years you can come back here and show us the result.

Hello Satya, incredible that you mad thios photo recently. With this pp it looks like a photo from the very old newspaper. The view is rather gloomy. Once nice architecture is in derelict state, and cables everywhere. Excellent work

It certainly looks in need of a facelift but I guess it is all a question of money and other more pressing priorities. Your composition shows it in context with passers-by offering a sense of scale. Good choice of sepia to create a feeling of nostalgia.

J'aime beaucoup le traitement vieillissant de cette composition moderne mais qui donne un côté ancien et documentaire. Une superbe texture.

Lovely! I thought this has a real olde-worlde feel to it with the treatment to almost sepia tone, it just feels like a nice place to be at the time....
Beautiful antique look of the tower and its graininess which also reminds me of an old postcard and great to see a place that has not torn down the old for the newer sterile buildings. Good framing, perspective, and adequately exposed and detailed. A successful mono conversion meeting your objective. My Congrats

your pp treatment does help to give the image an olde worlde look,as your note remarks it would benefit from a little sprucing up.
The tree makes a nice frame for a true to life street scene. Nice documentary photography.

It really needs a little face lift!

your sepia treatment was very effective, it helped you cope with the bright sky, to bring out all the elegant as well as the less attractive details of the tower clock and offer us a thorough, interesting and timeless presentation of it. I like the perspective you chose and the inclusion of part of the surroundings. The mild shadows are a fine element of this work. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

This looks like a magnificent clock tower although not repaired for many years. The monochrome effect on the scene has been efficiently executed.Keep sharing.TFS.
