teeth brushing, 2 fashions Photo

Photographer’s Note

(:o)) = *smiling*, even when teeth brushing !)

...2 photos taken just about 20 metres apart from each other and only some 10 minutes in between in the same little village in the clouds, early morning.

The stick used on the right is traditionally a twig from a neem (margosa) tree, which has been used for millenia and which works very well (read various *uses*, medical or otherwise about that magic tree, here)

Hello Catherine, a double image
that very well they might be two
only photos and protagonists
of a publication ....
although this way it is possible
to do a game of comparison of
two ways of the teeth being cleaned,
I like very much two captures ...
the smiles of the boys and especially
this naturalness and spontaneity
of the situations.

che bella coppia di immagini! Mi piacciono questi ragazzi che sorridono e contemporaneamente si lavano i denti. Nell'India del sud già da ragazzi si curano e tengono i denti puliti, anzi, sono proprio tutti persone che hanno cura della loro pulizia personale.

J'aime beaucoup ton dyptique. Le thème est génial et le fait que celà soit pris dans le même village à quelques minutes d'intervalle rend le sujet encore plus fort. J'aime beaucoup l'air hilare des enfants qui essayent malgré tout de se brosser les dents... Il y a encore une autre façon de faire. Je ne sais pas si, en Andhra Pradesh, ils la mettent en pratique, mais au Kerala, je l'ai fréquemment utilisée, comme les indiens autour de moi: on se brossait les dents avec du charbon de bois. On récupèrait des bouts de bois noircis dans l'âtre de la cuisine, ça craquait sous la dent, c'était trop bizarre. Et en deux secondes, bien sûr, on avait la bouche toute noire. Parfois il y en avait déjà réduit en poudre, ce qui beaucoup plus agréable à utiliser. En tous cas, ce système a le mérite de rendre les dents très blanches, le charbon étant abrasif.
Pour revenir à la photo, j'aime bien aussi comment ils ont tous les deux la tête penchée, chacun dans un sens, et la douceur des visages dans la petite lumière du matin. C'est excellent, Catherine! Bravo!
