Photographer’s Note
While visiting the schools, during the dancing party in one of the villages, I asked the drum players and some of the ladies to go a few meters farther and away from the crowd, to be better orientated in the sun - I also asked them to swirl a bit faster (their movements were generally rather slow, because of the heath ?), to show the nice circles their skirts were forming while in movements. Only when working on these photos did I notice the transparency in the drums, that I enhanced a little bit. The lady in blue on the left was feeling maybe a bit dizzy, while the little boy behind on the right, you may have recognized him as he is visible on various photos posted yesterday and also here : often present and always a bit shy.
Some of you might prefer this photo which is better exposed, personally I find the ones of yesterday more spontaneous although this is not unnatural or stage managed, the Lambada women dancing all the time without being asked… Other photos of Lambada women (and children) dancing can be seen in 2 previous posts, dancing in the fields (3 photos) and dancing in front of the school (6 photos).

Hey Cath,
Wonderfully done. Stopped at the right times, so the photo gives the impression that they are in a trancelike state. Beautiful selections of colors, a fine ambient, and great sharpness. Nicely done.
Enjoy.

Salut Catherine
I believe 'joie de vive' is the French expression for what is transpiring here, in this outstanding daily life scene. Wonderful vibrant colour, with superb sharpness & contrast. Tfs!

Hi Cath!
It is really interesting to see how different photographers present the similar people in different ways (you know who else i mean...)
The colors and the faces are the same, but senses totally different. And oh yes, i like this a lot.
Very joyous moment presented delicately. It is even attractive in thumbnail form.
Hugs,
Deniz

I really envy the places you travel, Catherine. You seem to be on a mission: photographing people and their daily lives all around the world. Colours and clarity are deliciously beautiful here. I wish the woman with the yellow skirt would be facing us. You are so lucky to be there. Eline saglik.
Selamlar,
Fusun
