Photographers Note
The size of advertisements for movies can be huge but in AP, they have often this format, seen everywhere, also in small villages... I took many photos of such posters, while I was admiring the angle of this one, 5 little children arrived, giggling, and I thought that them placed just in front of this riffle was a bit shocking, still effective - they were not aware of the BG, of course !
In the WS : same street and even more violence (ouch !)...

The scene is marvelous, much to see, much to admire...colors,
textures,a savage beauty...I only wonder about the focus...their
faces are not to much in the focus.Have a great sunday.

Its a amazing shot. The innocence springing up under a gun ! Quite contrast in the BG and the kids! Nice POV. Well taken

Hi Catherine
A strange, but effective juxtapositioning, of the violent film poster, against the innocence of the fg children. A superb group portrait & daily life scene, with excellent sharpness & colour. Tfs!

bonjour Catherine

Cordialement,
Marianne

Dear Cath,
I can feel your emotions while you were there, for this shot...
Your sensitiveness for the capturing of the reality of worldly life reflects here too, as always.
These smiles from Bhadrachalam is such an explosive material !!
Perfect display from the Indian south region..
With respects,
jp

Hello gallery neighbour :)
It is indeed shocking to see a violent poster as a background to young children posing innocently and oblivious. A fact of life we could do without.
Good observation

Hi Catherine,
I have recently been twice in India...and one of the most lovely aspect I got was their smiling!
children are so cute, smiling and become so happy when you play with them with your camera!
sometimes it takes so little to be happy!
ciao

Salut Cath,

hi Cath
A very nice candid street shot of children. From this photo, we can see the background and conditions that they grow up in. Good work.

Salut Catherine,
Funny shot.
Boy in yellow shirt at the point of a gun, is innocently smiling. Children in India really like cameras, indeed.
Have a nice day, Hisashi

Hello Catherine. The photo is a eyecatcher. The laughing children, the poster etc. result in a wonderful total composition. Outstanding and worth seeing. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Catherine,
Your compositions with the posters are very dramatic!... The way you choose subjects to go along in very striking.
Thanks,
Prem.

I love these movie poster shots because they are so far removed from reality. The composition is lovely
