Gurudongmar Lake (also known as Gurudogmar Lake) is one of the highest lakes in the world located at an altitude of 17,100 feet (5,148 m). It lies on the North side of the Khangchengyao Range in a high plateau area contiguous to the Tibetan Plateau. The lake remains completely frozen in the winter months from November to Mid-May except for one small part of the lake which is supposed to be touched and blessed by the Guru Nanak.
What amazed me was the abundance of 'blue' at the roof of the world. |

This is amazing landscape. it must be nice suprise to see this lake at 5.148. I like blue and contrast. wonderful composition.
greetings,
figen
Hey Ray,
wonderful view especially if we consider this shot has been taken up to the sky at 5148m..amazing! The deep blue sky offers a great contrast with the snow/ice on covering the mountains, and the lake in the fg is useful to balance the compo. The only thing i would do is to correct the white balance to enhance colours and contrast, otherwise this is a beautiful shot!
Thanks for sharing it and regards,
Igor
