Photographer’s Note
At the Rumtek Monastery..Black Hat Sect In Gangtok, Sikkim - India.
The man formally dressed is actually a monk who has broken away from the monastery to make it big in the industry of travel and tourism..He is one of them..
This was just before the main prayer service at the monastery. The group grew bigger after i was talking to on of them..any tourist does become interesting after a certain point after which they take over..

Young Lamas listening at the courtyard as the senior lama one in the middle gives a short sermon...
.
.
.
They might spend the light of day and the dark of the night for the rest of their long lives in prayer and meditation but they never project that they are children of a Greater GOD.....they too can be laughed with or laughed at..
They are lamas..they might be making a comfortable place up there seeking "moksha" and everything..but are definitely down to earth..

hi Sayeed,
I actually think the WS photo deserves to be another main post, it's definitely fun :) but I like this photo as well, a frozen moment in relaxed conversation, swirl of red colour around the former black&white attire. you have a tallent of framing the photo in a way that makes the viewer right in the middle of it, I remember the "Final Destination", and this photo has the same effect. great shot, my compliments.
best,
Kristine

Hi Sayeed,
Excellent picture-with-a-story (or rather with more than one story) - I like the man in the middle and all the looks going on. The watch in the corner is another great element.
Heavy light (top right), but management is great.

The dynamic composition of red color is what i like the most here. It has been long since i've used red effectively in any of my photos. I should go and find some red (not red, crimson) around here. The "industrial" monk makes me smile and it is also fun to think about the photographer, participating this converstaiton :))

Hello Sayeed,
Really fantastic daily life shot here, absolutely love this casual and fun atmosphere, while all the monks gather to socialize just before their service. Everyone seem in a very good mood, enjoying our company and attention. Great shot, I really enjoy this kind of images.

Hello Sayeed,
A great contrast with my and your black and white photos... This is more a red and white photo with some small touches of green, blue and yellow. The delicate colour shades work very well. Also an interesting scene with a lot of different expressions.

Paul

Hello Sayeed,
More than the subject of this photo it is the way you managed it in wide angle which makes its strengh.
The composition is well balanced and we have the feeling to participate to the discussion.
Yves.

Hi Sayeed,
lovely and colorful photo. I know you didn't prepare the situation but it does look like everybody knew about their right position in the frame. It reminds a bit of a marketing photography...maybe a photo of a religious music band :)) Very well composed and thanks for the complementary images.
Regards,
Carlos

Hello Sayeed. A slight pause between the everyday rituals. I like the carefree mood of the monks, which is otherwise usually looks serious. You have watched this beautiful scene, well photographed and well realized. Prima. Regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Sayeed
No new pictures for a long time...what's up? I visited Haji Ali the other day, no pictures posted so far though. A monk taking on a life of money like us lesser mortals..now that's interesting! I agree with Kristine...the Ws post could have been the main post, but this one bristling with colours also deserves an applause
