The south-eastern profile of the mighty Kangchenjunga (8598m).
This image was taken between Thangsing and Sungmoteng (Samiti) lake at a height of approx. 13000 ft on the way to Goechala pass in Sikkim. The vertical relief in the image is almost 15000 ft.
Goecha peak (6127m) in front of Kangchenjunga is hardly distinguishable. Its slant ridge (you can see some clouds outlining it) directly goes to the Goechala pass below.
Shot taken in the morning at around 0800. Exposure was reduced and the image was resized and sharpened.
