you could look at them.
you could talk to them.
you could smile with them
you could laugh with them.
you could look into their souls..
the purest of them all..

what?? am I the first one here again?? how come?
kids are kids and they always make me smile.
Of course, the focus is a bit off. I would ahve expected the one that's the most expressive to be in perfect focus. Unfortunately, the focus seems to be on the ear of the one in the back. The b/w was not able to recover that...
BUUT, it still is an amazing double portrait! I would hang this one on any of my walls in large format! It's not the most original, but the joyful feeling that comes out of it is so refreshing!
Careful with those bleached (detailless) zones...it really scratches the eyes!!

The joy and jubilance... coated in innocence is oozing out of the scene only to be captured by your camara. Great portraits..
Thanks for sharing

I see that Marc has already noted the problem with the focus and some overexposed areas, I agree with those comments. but I also agree with him that this is a great double portrait, full of emotions. compositionally I like a lot the use of the wooden railing in the background, the strong diagonal works well to contrast with the perpendicular diagonal formed by the kids' postures. good work.

Happy friendship day!!! I wish I could tie a band around your wrist as friends do, on this friendship day, but, being too far for that, I just browse your gallery to write a critic on an ancient picture, as a tribute to who you are, since the beginning... let's go back to the source! The source... the soul... the ultimate core of joy to be together, just by the fusion of laughs, and gazes and spirit. With simplicity and innocence.
That's what your picture expresses; even if the focus is not at the right place. Because what is important is out of view anyway. And friendship goes beyond the visible...
The good mood is increased by your note, poetic and eloquent, concentrated on the essential. That's a fragile balance to get, and it surely influence the impact of the picture itself. I like the careful way you create an harmonic between the note and the photo, a delicate combination between two vibrations... exactly like friendship.
