This is Raja Rani Peak (King and queen peak) in Gurudongmar..U can distinctly see two peaks..one on the right is the King and on the left is the queen.

I can tell you the fresh snow on these mountains got a nice smell of vanilla through my nose and the site was exquisite..It looked like as if I can just run and go up this mountain but its really far from the place I took this shot..!!!

I still cant get over the feeling....!!!

Enjoy..!!!

I like the lovely clarity in this image and the superbly sharp colours and textures. A very neat and awe-inspiring image with unambiguous perspective and pov. Good work. Nice photography.

Hello Inrdanil..indeed quite tragic to see the vanilla so close to and yet not being able to have it..i really know how you felt and still feel ;D

Great exposure and youve avoided the bleaching that comes with close photography..is it possible to trek this peak..it is low on elevation..are tourists allowed up for leisure ??

Cheers
Sayeed

surprenant contraste entre un premier plan désertique et un sommet polaire!
See you soon indranil

Hi Indro. A very nice shot with a very good perspective. Snow capped mountains under the canopy of the blue sky. Though I am not a connoisseur of vanilla et al, still I would like to go for it through my heart, if not through the nose! Raja and Rani majestically hugging each other and magnificently captured by you rightly from a distance. I wish I would have been there to try melting some snow! TFS. Regards.

Salutes.

You have a very nice way to present your photos, Indranil. I like your look-up version starting with the red stone and leading us all the way up to the white peak. Smell of vanilla, hmmm, next time I am in the snow I try to be more aware of such "smells". This is very good ... all the best, Barbara.

Hi Indroda,
You've started a greta tour of North Sikkim. What a wonderful view. If I'm not mistaken , you have another shot of these peaks in your gallery. Bautiful shot, and the peaks really look so close from this place.
Regards,
Sagarneel.

Hi Indranil,
WOW! I see that you've visited the places that I did only a few days before me. It would have been great if I met you there. REally beautiful shots all of them! I just came back to the US yesterday. Let me get over the jet lag, I will let you know how much I enjoyed all of your shots.
Take Care,
Shaeri

An impressive mountain shot, with strong colors. Yes the snow looks like cream or something -very smooth and white!
Good shot,

Dave

I really like your title ' vanilla ... '
the framing is quiet impressive and was this zoomed or u were really that near??
