Photographer’s Note

they dont have the so called nuances of modern day amenities. no television, no mobile, no car, no credit card, no atm, no fast food and the list goes on and on. one might certainly feel that the people living in these places are lagging behind in the domain of human civilization. but, perhaps they have what most of us, living in the fast lane dont have .... PEACE OF MIND!

the localites of cherrapunjee survives primarily on agriculture. most of them lives below the poverty line and life is quite hard. tourism also plays an important role, but then again....the benefits are limited to a small group of people. with almost nil pollution, the palce is a sure place to visit!

L’on rencontre également ce genre de petites maisons aux Antilles, notamment à la Martinique et à la Guadeloupe, elles sont simples mais très jolies dans la nature,
Un havre de paix !
La couleur verte est vraiment très belle ici,

Namaste Samrat, good notes, I agree completely with you, most of the time modernisation does not mean a "happy" life, and people living in these conditions have a better life... Good sharpness and colours in the picture, chau chau!

It looks as if the little house is in the middle of nowhere, although it appears to be well kept. It is surrounded by some lovely greenery. It's a pity the sky is over-exposed, but it's an appealing image of an apealing life-style.

Hi Samrat,
It looks like they live in a beautiful place. I'm of the opinion if it isn't important to health, love or joy (HLJ), it's not important. For years I lived on a boat with only the credit card of the list you mentioned plus no electricity or running water. I still don't have a television.
