Photographer’s Note
Umshiang river in Cherrapunjee. About 2 and half to 3 hours trek from the village Tyrna to almost 3,000 feet down with about 3,500 steps of steepiest and most slippery stony stair on the way. The trek is very enjoyable and exciting.
Umshiang is an amazingly wild and beautiful river with clear crystalline blue water. Strewn with huge boulders it runs through the deep mountains and forests of Cherrapunjee.
Shot just after a bit of rain.
