Photographer’s Note
Probably the smallest shop I've ever seen. The owner can reach every item from the tiny space he has created for himself but he can barely move. But this is where he spends his days, and there was no doubt of his pride of his little business and his pride of having his picture taken.
This is from Guwahati, the major city of Assam state, north-eastern India.

Hej Gert,
welcome back!! I'm glad to see your new photos! How was the trip??
Well, what can I say about the photo? As usual, a very good portrait! a very good psychological portrait, I shuld say.
The man really looks proud and has a good sense of self-respect. You chose a very good POV to show him and his little business.
I have never seen such a small shop packed with so much different stuff anywhere :)
Warm greetings from Moscow,

Hej Gert,
Welcome back!
A very good portrait of this solemn man. The shop certainly looks very small but it looks like he has enough padlocks to protect it at night. Many interesting details here!

Hallo Gunnar!
What an offer! What a content face! And what is mankind complaining of? - global economic crisis! I think general modesty would be the solution, but grubbing money, rampant increase is the motto ...
Your photo made me thoughtful ...
Greetings from sunny but cold Germany1

Hello my dear Gert
You tripped around India, I suppose.
Good composition and his self confident face is very significant. The background is a little complicated but very interesting. Waiting for your continuation to this photo.
Many thanks and best regards,

Hello Gert
Welcome back.
Obviously a padlock specialist! A good capture of a man with an intense expression going about his daily life. He does seem to be enjoying having his photo taken. Tfs, Marlene

Hello Gert,
interesting daily life scene. I like the way the framed is crammed with this man's shop in mcu the samw way as the man crams himself and his goods in such a tiny space.
Look forward to seeing more from you recent travels.

Hej Gert,
nice to see you back with photos from your trip to fantastic India. After comparing the original and the photo in WS am confused. Both versions are excellent but I am afraid that the WS is revealing everything that makes the shop owner not distinguished (and I am sure he is!). Anyway, it is a great capture and a very nice title. TFS!
Warm regards

Hi gert, So you are back at home now? Welcome back! I am looking forward to seeing wonderful photos of India. Like here, the shop is so small that the man can ha ve only one leg in it. rather narrow spacialization - only padlocks and chains. I suppose that the theft rate is high in India, so one need them.
Warm regards

his is what I like in this part of the world you don't need to take your car and drive X km to the closest mall to by the small things it's just around the corner even in the smallest of villages. a very decorative picture in the way the man sort of fits in to the pattern of asian package design.

Hej Gert,
welcome back home from this colorful country. The most important things have already been said, and i agree. A very nice portrait of this man and his business, a symbol of how to survive with the scarce resources. Very well done Gert !
