Photographer’s Note
Spotted this guy sitting silently, all by himself on the stairs in front of a temple in Mathura. I needed a break myself to rest my back a bit after walking through the alleys of Mathura for two hours. So I just went and sat beside him. That is when I noticed how interesting his profile looked with the hooked nose and chin. He was wearing this yellow cloth on his head that framed his face nicely. Couldn't resist a click.

The green background is perfectly toned to the yellow cloth, and both do not distract from the striking profile. the face is really sharp, I think a physionomist would have things to say just looking at that profile.

Very interesting profile, well seen and captured. The composition is very effective. Is there any particular reason why you didn't use a larger aperture (which your lens does allow) at a shorter exposure time? At f/2 your depth of field should have been still sufficient.

Nice graphical portrait. Wellchosen perspective and colors are also great.

Indeed it is....
Nice shot Avishek. You've captured this mans unique profile very well. Very sharp features.
I prefer shots like this, candid, and not posed. Good job Avishek!

In almost becoming a common cliché of portraits by cutting the head and put the face or what's left of it, right or left in the frame, you still mannage to make this approach incongruent by your creativity of this very exppressif profile cutting the picture almost in two to a blurred background creating 2 levels of DOF. Congratualtions also for the bright and clear well balanced coloring this time. Outstanding Avishek.

Very nice portrait, well positioned in the frame. I like his face between the green and yellow colours. It makes an astonishing contrast. Good work.

Avi,
You supplied a very strong profile.
Are you presently working on profiles?
Think so.

The reflection in his eye is very dramatic. There is a far away look, even in the profile - a very strong profile. The salt & pepper whiskers match the sunken cheeks in suggesting a great age, but there is still a youthfulness in this man's face. The portrait is magnificent.
