DELHI-V( IMAGES FROM DELHI - LAST IN A SERIES OF 5 IMAGES).
This is the Naubat Khana situated on the eastern side of the Red Fort Campus.
Some tidbits about Naubat Khana :
The Naubat or Naqqar Khana( Drum House)stands at the entrance of the Palatial Complex. In its glory days,Musicians from Naubat Khana announced the arrival of the Emperor or other important dignitaries at the court of the public audience. It is a distinct sign of Mughal architecture.
Here music was played five times a day at the appointed hours. It housed a gate known as 'Hathi Pol' (Elephant Gate), where visitors dismounted from their elephants. This three storey rectangular building boasts of carved designs on its red stone walls. It is said that these carvings were originally in gold. The paintings were done on the interiors as well. It is believed that later Mughal Kings, such as Jahandar Shah (1712-13) and Farrukhsiyar (1713-19), were murdered here. It now houses the War Memorial Museum on its upper storey.

This must be wonderful architecture with all these charming and beautiful elements and decorations. Like your low POV to create an impression of its size and scale. Well seen and done work. TFS.

The upwards point of view gives us a good sense of the size of this most interesting building, which has a rather curious history. Good rendering of the architectural detail under a sympathetic ambient light.

J'aime beaucoup cette contre plongée effectuée sur le coin du bâtiment. La perspective est intéressante et donne beaucoup d'ampleur à l'ensemble.

Pleasing detail on the red fort. The architecture is beautiful and the light very pleasing. The low POV adds a lot to the allure of this shot.
Unfortunately the red fort was closed when we where in Delhi, so this is something I haven't seen before.
have a good sunday

I really like your perspective and how you make use of the wide-angle which makes the building look very impressive, probably more impressive than in reality. TFS and have a nice day!

Une belle variation en teintes bleutées pour la perspective de cette architecture sous cette bonne lumière.

You're capturing well this architecture by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's impressive to see the three storied and rectangular building with white wall and a good design. It looks like a style peculiar to Islamic construction. It's impressive in the contrast between white wall an brown door/window/handrail, too.

The upward view gives importance to the building. I like the row of red windows. You managed quite well in this difficult light and the details are showing with sharpness.

Superb POV with this composition that shows a good perspective of this beautiful building as original architecture, which combines wood and its many volumes ..
Very nice soft light and ideal this palette.
Very well managed both luminosity, as the superb sharpness.
I wish you a happy day.
All the best.

a well chosen framing with which you have profited of the escape of lines of this beautiful building, and of the nice game of light and shades.
It's a good work.

Interesting history to this place. I would have loved to have been there when the drums were playing!
Nice POV gives it a sense of height.

Nice angle looking up at this Naubat Khana. The white facade with fine design and texture are well registered in the frame.
Thanks and kind regards.

this building is elegant and attractive and your point of view makes it look imposing by enhancing the dynamism of its perspectives and its height. Sharpness is great and we are able to enjoy the fine decorative patterns on the woodwork and the walls. The warm light and the soft shadows create a lovely effect. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,
Robert1969 (7160) 2013-05-12 1:35
Very nice point of view: picture has nice diagonal
lines and that creates a nice depth ( in this
case two depth's). It makes also the building
higher and both points makes the picture extra
exciting. Little advice: try to capturer next
time the whole building, or make a vertical
picture: it's better to miss something in width,
by a building, than in the height.
pierrefonds (70395) 2013-05-14 7:10
The tight frame is putting the building in evidence. The point of view is showing a double perspective of the architecture of the Naubat Khana. The good luminosity is enhancing the colours. Have a nice day.

Impressive Moghul building which I had forgotten. It shows that I have to return to India rather sooner then later. Innovative POV and fine light management. Well done
