4th day of the trek : Kanthalia - Mai ki Toli basin and back.
This is the one of the views while looking back on way to Mai ki toil basin – which shows clearly how & where we would be going in the next two / three days.
Here one can see clearly the how the streams meet to form the Sunderdunga river – our camp is just in front of it. Here the river plunges under a huge rock which actually acts as a bridge to come on this side – will be clear from the photographs I will post later.
The flat open top on the opposite side is the famous Baluni top – our next camp site. The campsite is on the lush green patch on the low left corner. Just on the edge of Rhododendron forest.
The famous Devikund is just beyond the first major ice patch towards the right – in the wedge where the shadow of the cloud is.
We were able to go to all the places we wanted to because of less snowfall last year – other wise this whole place is covered in snow at this time of the year – this is evident from the photographs posted in TE.
