~ Yogi At Kedarnath ~
Got him in Kedarnath temple. He is enjoying canabis at this moment and feeling himself in a different level of existence, in a virtual world...
~ Enjoy It ~

Bonjour, cher Subhendu,
Une autre façon de photographier très appréciée avec le personnage au premier plan.
Le décor est bien planté et cadré avec talent.

Hi Subhendu, interesting work about this man looking for artifical emotions...ehehe...a great portrait so well exposed in this difficult light and a beautiful and unique scenery in background too, very original post,i like it! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

well captured man having his "nirvana" moment. I like different colors of his outfit which contrast with each other and add interest to this image, but also I was drawn to the background. How lovely that you managed to include in the composition not only some buildings and hills, but also another people wrapped in blankets. It makes me wonder if their activity is the same as the main person in the photo?
Well done and enjoy your Sunday

A fine portrait of this yogi set in context. Very well composed and with excellent colours and clarity. I find the thick black frame a little off-putting, but that's really a question of personal taste.

another fascinating study this. Beautifully captured and in a characterful setting that adds to the impact and power of this image. Amazing!
Have a great Sunday - B.

This is an amazing photo and not the kind of portrait I would expect to find on TE every day. You placed the man very well in the corner with a generous view of the interesting and beautiful beackground. He provides a stunning splash of colours with his dark brown skin, pink turban, orange sleeve, blue shirt and green handkerchief. In my part of the world a similar kind of photo would show someone drinking vodka, or possibly beer, straight out of the bottle. This really looks nicer.

You are surely specialising on 'Ganja' pictures :-) Like the blank expression of the man as he is pulling a drag out of his chillum. I think he is already on cloud nine.
You have chosen a fine backdrop for the scene with the corner of the temple and the imposing mountain. Very well done, bhalo chobi, thanks for sharing.

The emotions, or the apparent lack of it, seeks to tell many things.
Nice close-up with a very interesting background.

Good portrait of the man and his chillum. The details are beautifully rendered even in the shade. I might like a bit wider POV to have more of the temple...but as it is is a good portrait

A fabulous shot Subhendu. The off-centre framing of the Yogi allows us to see him in context which adds to the narrative very well. As to his 'little recreational pastime'. I have to agree with Gert's comments ;)
Warm regards Rosemary

an interesting portrait of this man.
given the focal length you took this at, I take it you're standing or sitting pretty much right beside him?
it looks like its cold, from the people in the bg anyways.
what he's smoking and how he's smoking it is rather interesting too.
the type of photo that actually brings up alot of questions.

Un très beau portrait du Yogi parti dans d'autres rêves, bien cadrer et des couleurs magnifiques
ourania (50679) 2014-02-22 11:19
both the subject of this portrait and his surroundings are very intriguing, your picture has striking naturalness and immediacy. I wonder about the yogi's gaze and posture, one can't tell if he was aware of your presence and the doubt adds interest. The background is deep and rendered with excellent balance and detail. You illuminated the yogi and the whole setting superbly, the colours are well adjusted to the atmosphere of the scene. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
