This is a panoramic shot of the peaks visible from Binsur, undoutedly the best place in Uttranchal..!!
In Binsur one can enjoy raw pristine beauti of nature .The place to stay is KMVN(Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam) tourist center as there one other hotels there and being a forest reserve it does not have power. The cottages are very well made in wood with a very cosy feeling..!!THE BEST PART IS IN THE EVENING WITH CANDLES ALL AROUND AND NOBODY OR NOTHING TO DISTURB...
This view is from their viewing point and this is just the eastern half of the view whcih primarily consists of the Panchchuli peaks. the western view which falls on the right side of this pic consists of the Trishul,Nandadevi and the Nandakot Peaks..Its a neat 120 degrees of panoramic natural ecstasy one gets standing at Binsur..!!! Binsur can be reached by road from Almora or Ranikhet and this one is a must visit...
enjoy the view..!!!
Same old scanning problem is still persisiting with my pics . Have tried real hard to present it the best possible way....hope you enjoy it..!!

Another excellent posting from you ... this is terrific scenery. The layers of fog gives the composition some depth and you've composed this perfectly ... excellent! TFS

Hello Indranil! Of course I enjoy your photo, the scanning process has maybe added some "extra artistic work", I don't really know, but I like it, and I don't care where the effect comes from, but it gives a special mood. I love the rolling hills ending up with the snow-covered mountains in the back. Great frame and I also like the blue tones. Oh I can only imagine how romantic your cottage was, candles everywhere ... what do you want more? Barbara.

Hello Indranil -
This is a very nice image. I like the layering effect and the fog/smoke laying in the valley's. The image looks to exposed with an appropriate DOF. But, IMO, it is over saturated - I am sure you did not see all this blue when you captured the image. The over saturation is really not my thing but it does not take away from the image. I think the image is also a bit over sharpened - I notice halos along the foggy ridges.
Thank you for sharing

A surreal shot!!! The tones, layers and lighting are all beautiful and make this almost a 3D image.... Great shades of blue!

this mountain range is really spectacular. I have read that an increasing number of Indian tourist visits Austria and Switzerland because they want to see the Alps. I wonder why they make such a long journey although they have such mountains in their own country.
