This ghat is named after the famous Goddess Lalita (one of the incarnation of Goddess Durga) in Kashi and also in Prayag. The well known lingam of Ganga Kesava and shrines of Gangatitya, Kasi Devi, Lalita Devi and Bhagirath Tirtha are affiliated to this site. People believe that a glimpse of Lalita Devi brings the same reward as circumnavigating the entire world. At the top of the ghat, close to the Nepali Ghat, lies the Nepali Temple, a replica of Pashupatinath Temple which was built in 1843 under the patronage of Rajendra Sah, king of Nepal and assumed that the lingam there replicates the famous Pasupatisvara at Kathmandu. The temple has some wooden carving of the erotic scenes, and all the four gateways and doors are fully decorated with geomagnetic architectural frame. The ghat also enshrines the Lalita Gauri Temple, thronged by women devotees for prosperity of the family.
This ghat is one of the most venerated ghats of the Kashi for the devotees from various corners of the country.
It is considered that, it is a favorite ghat for all the painters and photographers to catch natural scenes in their paintings and cameras. People celebrate their local festivals including the musical parties and other favorite moments at this ghat.

Le sujet architectural et historique est fort bien présenté une fois encore.
Nous pouvons découvrir avec intérêt les différentes facettes de ces constructions étonnantes.
Très bonne soirée.

I like this well framed composition; it shows the interesting and diverse architecture to very good effect. The saturated red and yellow tones are very attractive and form a harmonious whole. Excellent rendering of the textural detail. Thanks for sharing.

Namaste dear Arunava
These golden tones are delightful and I like how you detailed the architecture so well. The light looks to have been very difficult here, with the sky being a little over-exposed. But you did very well and the photo is very attractive.
Thanks for sharing

The colors and textures at these Ghats is amazing, unlike anything I have seen before. I love the style of building that so many places are built above and on top of other buildings, it makes a fascinating eclectic scene for the architectural photo fan, as you show perfectly well here. The one person in that doorway gives excellent scale.
All the best
