Photographer’s Note
I have never seen such a young boy bearing the face of such an old worn out man!! His neatly backbrushed discoloured hair, hard curves on the face, the red lips resulting from over consumption of betel leaves,.... all give the essence of a much older man. I found him on my way to a bird sanctuary with a few of my friends. Our car stopped for an instant to get directions, and I had just under a minute to take this shot from inside the car(which fortunately made a reasonably good framing).
Most probably he got this expression after working for years on the streets,.. like many other child labourers.

Hi Victor.
This photo and your note are amazing. It must be a whole experience and I love it.
Believe me, this photo deserves a lot of views.
And, if this is not succesful: well, sometimes we pay attention the photographer, not the photo.
Regards.

Hi Victor-
Indeed he does look a bit beyond his years. His squinting expression leaves the mark of a hard-working life and I'm wanting to learn more about the effects of betel leaves. Great capture.
