Kumbh: The Holy Dip Photo

Photographer’s Note

Kumbh Mela 2007, Allahabad: The people take a holy dip in the river Ganges near the Sangam spot. The morning sun has come just above the horizon. The temperature outside is around 4 degree centigrate. The water is freezing but the devotees are taking a dip. I was packed in woolens right up to my head. For more photos watch at.

Nice picture, the colors and the event itself is very interesting, the only problem is the long wood sticks in the foreground, you could have made a better picture if you moved to the left before shooting it.
