Photographer’s Note
I took this picture from the train between Allahabad and Varanasi. At the beginning, i didn't know why so many women were preparing these bunches of brown ground. Someone explained me that it is a mixture of ground and cow dung which is then burnt to make fire and many people living in the countryside sell it. In fact, i discovered that in France we were also doing the same 50 years ago!

I think this photograph deserves some points because this is a great capture - you were lucky when you caught it. The composition, color and sharpness are all very well done. An excellent glimpse into the life of some Indian people.
