Typical fun loving kids, a lovely universal subject who always wanting their pics taken and there is no exception here in the old quarter of Agra which I truly enjoyed. This curious girl was very excited about the camera looking straight reaching towards my lens and this shouted out fun and spontaneity followed by few bursts of shots. So basically just a wacky take without time to compose, point and shoot lens manually pre-focused. Not everyone's cup of tea perhaps, but just a simple humanity subject that I really love capturing wherever I go with my camera. It was also my luck to press the shutter button one seconds earlier... seconds after that, her hand would have blocked the lens. But I was just happy with the way it was.
I know it's not a perfect picture, is dead centre or anything as the shot presents itself but, I was so delighted to have caught the shared moment. There is nothing like the innocent play of children to warm the heart and off course I used the LCD screen to show them the result which evoked a joyful response and the whole process built trust. It’s just plain fun and this is one of my favorite parts of travel photography.
The smiles and natural reactions are priceless
I wish the world is kinder to them as they grow......

The extra note was improvised through the writing, had no intention to premeditate this. Thanks for the note written about.
Kids love to play in front of a camera, and special skill needs to catch such moments - which you did nicely.
I still have to learn how to do.
Best regards and enjoy a nice weekend,

This is a bit like your "shoot-from-the-hip" photos, the main difference being that children can act spontaneously even when they know about the camera. Those who only care for "perfect" photos will probably never experience this kind of joy among children, or the personal joy of catching something as lively and completely natural as this. I hope, for the sake of justice, that her brother was also given a photo of his own.

A very curious POV.

Of course the photograph is by no means technically perfect, as you yourself point out. But who cares? This is proper street photography: not of the candid, Cartier-Bresson variety, but of the involved, interractive style. The photographer becomes not a detached observer, but an engaged and sympathetic participant. I like it a lot.

Bonjour, cher Abmdsudi,
Une photo prise sur le vif. J'aime le regard porté par ces enfants.
Très bonne journée.

Candid and spontaneous shots are among the best especially if one gets lucky enough with a good result, and you did with this lovely girl. I like the effect of the wide angle lens. Good lighting and nice details. Well done, tfs.

This is very different from your perfectly composed photographs but one with great spontaneity and life! The free spirit perfectly captured.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day.
