This is from Agra Fort - the point where Shahjehan spent his last eight years imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb. As the legend goes... the deposed Mogul emperor spent entire rest of his life looking out at the beautiful mausoleum of his beloved wife and pining for her years after she was gone.
Move around in the fort and you would find parrots in abundance. No wonder they oftne get depicted in the old Mogul miniatures. Here I thought they were making a pretty picture in the foreground of one of the all time wonders of the world.

Great picture, that mist matches up to the atmosphere of the place. I like the composition with the branch in the foreground.

a beautiful composition... the haze adds to Taj's enigma... the branch adds depth to the image... I am surprised that this didn't invite more critiques... welcome back after your hiatus...
