Photographer’s Note
The jaggo is a prewedding ceremony, which is basically a procession of family and friends visiting houses of friends, dancing, getting the clay lamps replenished with oil, and moving on to the next house. The clay lamps were carried on their heads by the sisters of bride groom taking turns; and, a young girl carrying a long stick with bells led the procession.

Very lively scene - north indian weddings are always so vibrant!
A slight question - is this a sikh or a hindu marriage (is there much difference)? But I'm sure the customs are similar...
