A few days earlier I was visiting the new market square at Viilage Heeran, roughly 20kms from Ludhiana, where recently Mc Donald has opened a new branch.
A few shops offering clothes, shoes etc have also cropped up. May be within six months there will be enough of hustle and bustle at this place too.
Observing here, I was struck the way the sweeper was cleaning the front of the shops. There was an element of dignity, which I tried to capture.

This is great daily life shot although a bit meloncholic to see the single legged lady sweeping the front yard of the market. But that is how we have things in India at present.Good documentation but a sad story behind this.TFS.

The way the sweeper was cleaning the front of the shops, is a very dangerous for dust on the lens my friend.
Also the advertisement pictures in background care for a good picture.
Excellent composition, pleasant colours.
Sharpness and clarity make these picture nice.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

yes, we can see the reflections of the McDonalds arches in the window!
I'm glad to see the lady all by her lonesome, being by herself she exudes emotion that we can feel as the viewer.
fun to see the dust in the air too, there's alot to enjoy with this scene, well spotted.

Hi rajeev, As a turist, I am not specially happy when I travel far away and then I see Mac Donald , Pizza Hut or Armani and all this stuff. I do not look for something I can see at home. I prefer to go to some back streets. I am glad to see here this woman in this beautiful salwar kameez with the old fashioned brush.
Charming shot, I like it very much.

A terrific title for this shot, humble in every sense of the word. I get the sensation of a meek personality conveyed here, one that is very dutiful and willing to care for the surroundings without a need for acknowledgment. This is a splendid daily life scene, solitary in nature, although evidently in the midst of an urban setting.
Quite a contrast of apparel, it's compelling to see the stark difference in cultural wear and modern fashion. With the McDonalds reflection and advertisements in English, this could be straight out of "Anytown, U.S.A."...I double checked the location mapping just to be sure! :) I really enjoy the quiet contemplation that feels to accompany this moment...in the world, but alone in her thoughts as she goes about her daily business. Perhaps I'm reading far too much into this image, but I do like that it makes me wonder. Have a great day ahead.

Uggg I hate Mc Donalds and all that kind of eateries offering the same stuff all over the world
But your capture is good and well composed , showing some Mc Donald reflects behind the woman
Sad to see she so concentrated working in one foot
Anyway, picture of contrast modern and traditional
Congrats, well done

A good contrast between this poor woman working and the ads in the background. Good framing too.
Have a nice week end,

You're capturing well this daily life by a good composition and excellent tone, so it's impressive to see the spectacle that the girl is cleanibg the road in front of commercial window using a broom under the dust. It seems to the valuable work that anyone can do it and we cannot think that it is natural.

The concept and context are just great, the impact even turned out to be too strong - some people decided she has only one leg;)
But technically this is just the case when you can make a better shot without changing your lens or camera.
What you need is proper color balance, contrast, sharpness and some work on the lens flare. Check it out in ws, I also blurred the background a bit to single out the lady more and accentuate the puffs of dust.
Hope this helps.
