Photographer’s Note
A Sikh temple without a Community Kitchen is inconceivable. Cooked food is serviced in the kitchen of the Golden Temple 24 hours to all visitors irrespective of religion, caste, creed and nationality. The expenses are met out of the Temple funds. Approximately 40,000 visitors share the meals everyday

Hey Steve, didn't your lens get steamy? Love the way that you saw and composed this scene, the closeness - the boiling is going to overflow my desk :). Then the light management is just great.
Thank you.

That has to be about the biggest cooking pot ever - there is for me a struggle to accept the light here but I guess I am thinking what i might have been able to do with the 5D - but your composition is great. i wonder too a little aboutt the light temperature too - but it's such an interesting image.

Your photos are always a bit different from the regular Asia photo and to they seem often presented in a casual way on TE but this does not prevent me from admiring them. I would certainly have tried to lighten up the faces, but again, kept like that in the dark adds maybe to the atmosphere. I had some strange visions in India, as if I had lived there a previous life, specially in Kolkata ; this photo reminds me of these sorts of dreams, very strange !
Best regards and best wishes,
Cath.

I think Kev was WAY TO severe with this one, in fact his note doesn't warrant the "half tone" he ends up getting you, much as I love kev, I just don't get it, steve. Great shot. Period. End of story. 5D??? You should see what I could have done with my puny, constantly laughed at by Luko, Epson R-D1s rangefinder, brother, I would have shown you ;o))) Nah. You did great with the..Nikon was it?
"Bernard" ;o)
