Photographer’s Note
Picture taken at the main entrance of the Golden Temple. The man in the pic looked very smart as most of the men in Punjab.

Strong portrait in spite of having to shoot fast. Hard to control all the comings and goings in such a scene.

Hello Jorge,
This is a fantastic shot and don't let the low number of critiques that you have recieved be a guide as to the true value of this image. It is wonderful! If you don't mind, I did some minor enhancements to this posting of yours. I have found that the resizing and compression of our final images to the web, to be a very frustrating and time consuming process. I am sure that your original photo is a beautifully sharp image, but the resizing ("dumbing down", as I call it) compression process of our photographs greatly degrades our originals. The toughest part is the sharpening process, which I believe has to be done after we rezize our photos for the web. Neat Image is fairly inexpensive software and does the best job of reducing noise, in my opinion.
I did a modest amount of Neat Image noise reduction and then I did some "Smart Sharpen". I believe that the sharpening makes this web-based photo look a little more like your original, which I am sure would make a fabulous large scale print. My wife loves your portrait of India!
Stan
