Photographer's Note

This is the Harmandir Sahib ('Abode of God'), more commonly known as the Golden Temple, in Amritsar. The temple, built in the 16th century, is the most prominent of the Sikh Gurdwaras. More than 100 000 worshippers come here daily. I found it to be a welcoming and profoundly peaceful place.
