Photographer's Note

Back to a journey in India in 1977. This time a scenic view as a change from my usual street photos. This is from an area called Tangmarg in the Kashmir valley, west of the capital Srinagar.

Hello Gert,

I find that you a very good picture makes of these scanned picture.
Colors are little bit strong on my screen, this is very subjective.
Nice subject, good depth image, lovely presentation.
Sharpness and clarity are very well for look at.
Prespective and colors give a good picture.

Hej Gert,

An old scanned picture that it is a bit different from your other photos from India. Here you make use of the very good lighting and the composition is very nice. Your looking out between the tress is great and creates a feeling of being there yourself. Otherwise it would not have guessed that this was India. TFS and have a nice Sunday evening!

Hej Gert,
to me, this is sort of a timeless view (I can't even guess how much has changed there since the time the photo was taken - maybe nothing?).
It's a pity the sky is white/overexposed.. but I guess it's the fault of the lighting conditions at that moment.
I like old photos: they always convey a special atmosphere of the Past :-)
