Pahelgaon Posing Photo

Photographer’s Note

I took it at Pahelgaon, Jammu and Kashmir. It is also scanned from a photo taken with my old kodak KB 12 ( not a digital one ).
The children were begging. They are local children. It was so much contrasting with the atmosphere, that the poor people leave there who are suffering for collect their food but don't loose their smile. You can see it here . This atmosphere haunted me that time and now I am sharing it with you. Hope you like it.

the scanning work was successful. I cannot recognize this as film photo...but let's talk about the composition. It's a lovely family portrait although there is a sad context on it. Colors and quite natural and the details are really good, specially on the children. Well done!

Is there anything sadder than starving children? They do not feel like smiling. While there are people so in need and other living squandering wealth, our world will not find the peace that aims. Great capture!

The scanned one of this analogical photo has given a good result and has preserved a correct quality of image.
I like this scene in which the children pose for the photographer, with his clean looks and his innocence. In spite of their life in a poor place, they continue smiling, and it is fantastic, makes us think over the citizens of richest countries.

A good daily life scene, & charming group portrait, of these inquisitive kids. Reasonable sharpness, good colour, & excellent framing. I would add a little yellow to the fg. The snowcapped peaks make a fine backdrop. Tfs!

Nice image Subhendu and good quality of the scan. IMHO, you could have cropped the sky at the to, which is washed out, make the picture into a square format, to bring these children closer and bigger. Nice group portrait with nice colours
