Photographer’s Note
Ladakhis traditionally build their houses, walls and other structures from handmade mud bricks like these. Unfortunately concrete is becoming more ubiquitous there and must be transported from India by trucks over an almost impassable road. It is gratifying to see the traditional methods still in use. I thought this "door" added an interesting perspective to what is happening in Ladakh today.
