we travel,we complain,we appreciate.but we never give a thought as to how roads are maintained, built and repaired in these very difficult and inhospitable terrains(well above 4000 mts),and by whom.labors like these work round the year in these harsh places, against all odds to keep the roads running.here in this pic they take a well deserved break from work and rest,as the road ahead is being cleared by bulldozers.

A very original and natural shot telling a story.
You are absolutely correct in your note...maintaining these roads is back breaking work and a thankless job. I appreciate that you bring it out very well through this photo. Nice background you have caught with workers in the FG. Excellently done my friend.

You are right. These poor guys are often forgotten when the trip is over.
Excellent colors and clarity as usual in this image.
A nice moment frozen.
Very well done.

I can almost feel the heat!A well composed picture of these two road workers, deservedly having a rest away from the bright blue scorching sky.

Namaskar dear Dwaipayan
That's a very thoughtful note and an excellent photo to illustrate the point you make. I love the guy on the left's makeshift sun visor and the fellow crashed out on the ground having a rest is hilarious. Beautiful stark scenery too that contrasts so well against the bright blue sky. Excellent contribution to TE!
Have a happy day
